Monet's Pool Pendant
Claude Monet was a founder of the French impressionist movement. Impression, Sunrise, completed in 1872, was the painting that gave the movement its name; it captures the color and movement of a moment, at sunrise. He often painted the same scene many times to capture light and color at different times of day and year. His work shows us the beauty and completeness possible in an impression. Each subsequent experience of the same scene is never quite the same. Each moment is unique and complete in its own right.
Monet's Pool Pendant features a stunning Labradorite cabochon that captures the colors featured in some of Monet's works, including Impression, Sunrise; Grand Canal, Venice; Cliff Walk at Pourville. It is a stunning reminder to take notice of the beauty of our surroundings, to experience them with our senses and be mindful of the nuances of each subsequent moment in that setting. The cabochon is set in knitted 14/20 rose gold filled wire and suspended on a matching 20 inch chain.
